Calvary Baptist Church welcomes you and your preschooler. Your child is special to us. It is our desire to minister to your preschoolers spiritual, physical, and emotional needs. Our rooms are divided by age groups and staffed by loving and caring teachers who have reviewed our church's Child Protection Policy and have completed the required Child Protection Safety and Training Program. We are committed to providing the most loving, caring, and safe environment possible for your preschoolers.
We want your preschooler to know three basic truths:
God made me
God loves me
Jesus wants to be my friend forever
Wee Worship provides a worship experience for preschoolers that are not quite ready for the big church worship experience. Wee Worship is a continuation of the Sunday Morning Kidz Klub hour that will include the Bible story for that Sunday morning, as well as activities in art, home living, nature, puzzles, books, and music. Wee Worship for 2s & 3s meets in the Nursery Complex, while our Pre-K through Kindergarten meets in the Children's Building.
Nursery is provided for children birth through 3 years old. Please include the following items in your child's diaper bag. Please put your childs' name on each item.
A. Disposable Diapers/Pull ups
B. A Change of Clothes
C. Pacifier or Favorite Blankie if needed
D. Bottle and Formula
Children do not need to bring any other items to the Nursery with them.
Where Do I Take My Child?
Our Nursery is located in the Atrium section of Calvary Baptist. Please come by the Nursery Welcome Area located at the counter before taking your child to his/her class. To ensure the maximum safety for your preschooler, our staff will be happy to assist you in filling out the necessary paper work and locating your preschoolers classroom. For the safety of our preschoolers, only preschoolers and teachers will be allowed in the individual rooms. A teacher will greet you at the door to take your child.
How Can You Reach Me If Needed?
Please bring your cell phone with you to church. Keep your phone close to you and put it on vibrate. If we need you for any reason, we will call your cell phone. Any time your cell phone number changes, be sure to notify the Preschool Director.
How Do I Pick My Child Up?
We request that parents pick their children up unless other arrangements have been made. Please do not send siblings to pick up preschoolers.
The primary focus for the Awana program is evangelism. Our weekly Awana meetings give us the skills needed to reach out and share the gospel of Jesus with preschoolers and children, and their families in our community.
